Vijaya Lakshmi Emani was an Indian American social activist known for her work against domestic Violence, and civic leader amongst the Indian American community in Cleveland, Ohio. Starting with Northeast Ohio Telugu Association, followed by Federation of Indian Community Associations and with Greater Cleveland Asian Community, she was the president of the Federation of India Community and a board member of the Federation of India Community Associations (FICA). She was posthumously awarded the Presidential Citizens Medal, the second-highest civilian honour of US in 2011.

Professor Sripada Pinakapaani, also known as S. Pinakapani was a medical doctor, administrator, professor in medicine, and carnatic musician. Pinkapani was born at Priya Agraharam of Srikakulam district and died on 11 March 2013 in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. He spent three months in violin maestro Dwaram Venkataswamy Naidu's school. He joined M.B.B.S. in 1932 and passed out in April 1938 from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam. He completed M.D. in general medicine in December 1945 also from AMC, Visakhapatnam.

G. Pulla Reddy

G. Pulla Reddy was a philanthropist and a humanist from Andhra Pradesh, India, best known for the G. Pulla Reddy chain of retail sweet outlets in Hyderabad and Kurnool. G. Pullareddy began selling his sweets in 1948, when aged 28, using a small cart. The business grew, spreading from the lanes of Kurnool to eventually encompass four shops in India. He opened shops in many US cities, including New York, California and Charlotte. He founded the G Pulla Reddy College of Engineering & Technology in Kurnool and owned Narayanamma college in Hyderabad. He died on 9 May 2007.

Mir Sa'id Muhammad Khan, Salabat Jang

Mir Sa'id Muhammad Khan, Salabat Jang was the Nizam (ruler) of Hyderabad. He was the third son of Nizam-ul-Mulk, Asaf Jah I, Nizam of the Deccan. He was appointed as Deputy Viceroy to his elder brother, Ghaziuddin, in 1751. He was proclaimed at the camp near Lakkireddipalli, at French instigation. Nawab Sa'id Muhammad Khan Siddiqi Bahadur was born in Hyderabad as the third son of Asaf Jah I before 24 November 1718.

Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy was the chief minister of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh on two occasions, in 1983 and then from 1992 to 1994. Reddy was a member of the Indian National Congress. He was elected to the Lok Sabha six times in 1977, 1984, 1989, 1991, 1996 and 1998. He was a Union cabinet Minister as well as member of several parliamentary committees. He lost the 1999 elections and subsequently retired from active politics.

Vuyalavada Narasimha Reddy was a freedom fighter in India's Independence struggle against the British Empire in the 19th century (late or early 19th century ?). He started to fight for freedom in 1847 against British, 10 years before the Indian rebellion of 1857. He was a native of the Telugu speaking region of Andhra Pradesh in Southern India. He was born in Vuyyalawada, Koilakuntla taluk of Kurnool district in Andhra pradesh. The British hanged him at jurreru river bridge in banaganapalle of Kurnool district.
