Chevrolet India will be bringing next version of their successful model Spark named as "Chevrolet Spark Facelift " Chevrolet Spark Facelift will continue to be powered by the 1.0-litre petrol engine which comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. There is no Diesel engine option for now. It will also feature a twin-port Chevrolet family grille and will also offer the same 3 year free maintenance plan.

Mahindra launched mini-SUV Quanto on Thursday Sept 20. The seven-seater mini-SUV will have starting price of Rs 5.82 lakh, high end variants will cost Rs 7.36 lack. The Quanto uses the same ladder-frame construction as the Xylo. The mini-SUV is powered by a modified version of the mHawk diesel engine called mCR100 Mahindra is planning to export Quanto to hot markets like Europe, South Africa and Chile.

Yamaha India launched Yamaha Ray scooter in India at a price of Rs 46,000. The Yamaha Ray was showcased at Auto Show, where Deepika Padukone was the Brand Ambassador for the product. Yamaha say "the seat height, the design of the centre and side stands were all created with women in mind to ensure the scooter is easy to get on to, easy to deal with and easy to ride."

Daimler, the company behind Mercedes brand, announced that they will start the assembly SUV M and GL-Class in India by 2013. "The necessary preparations at the selected three production sites in India, Thailand and Indonesia are proceeding full steam ahead. "Later on in the year, final assembly of the Mercedes M-Class using SKD kits will start there for the respective local market," Daimler said in a statement on its website.

Tata Motors on Wednesday launched newer version of premium pick-up truck Xenon. Tata Xenon was launched in global market 3 years back, and is available in South Africa, Thailand and Italy. From today, this product will be available in India also. "The pick-up segment is growing rapidly and we see this trend continuing," Pisharody said. Pisharody said, "The Xenon would compete with Mahindra’s Genio" "We are not looking at cutting production in the near future or have done so in the July-August period," Pisharody said.
