Saurashtra's Cheteshwar Pujara slammed maiden Test ton on Thursday while playing against New Zealand in Hyderabad. Cheteshwar Pujara replaced the legendary Rahul Dravid at No 3. 'Chintu' Pujara is still unbeated at 119 at the end of days play, and will be looking to continue from there on on a fresh note.

Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was not invited to a party which former test player V.V.S. Laxman hosted here for some senior members of the team at his residence In Hyderabad. When Dhoni was asked at the pre-match press conference if he was invited by Laxman, he replied in a clear "No". Laxman trained very hard for this series, but due to some internal issues, he was forced to retire. However he was selected to play the 2 test against New Zealand, starting August 23, 2012. It is rumored that Dhoni was not in favor of picking up Laxman.
