Ajinkya Rahane debuts in Test cricket today
Ajinkya Rahane received his Test Cap today morning from Harbhajan Singh, just before the start of India Vs Australia 4th and final Test Match at Feroz Shah Kotla, New Delhi ground. Ajinkya Rahane is coming in place of Shikhar Dhawan, who injured his finger while fielding in 3rd Test match. Harbhajan Singh presented the Indian cap to Ajinkya Rahane while other players welcomed him with loud cheer and clappings. Proud moment for any youngster. Shikhar Dhawan Make Fastest Century on Test Debut
Shikhar Dhawan the fastest century on debut 100(from 85 balls) on 16/03/2013, against Australia, at Mohali, India. He is the first Indian to score 150*+ runs on a debut Test Match. Dhawan scored the fastest hundred on debut in the 136 years of Test history.Dhawan reached his first 50 in 50 balls and needed another 35 to reach his hundred. Dhawan reached the milestone in only 85 balls surpassing West Indian Dwayne Smith's debut Test ton hit in 93 balls against South Africa back in 2004. England's Matt Prior hit a century on debut against West Indies off 105 balls.

Ricky Ponting will lead Mumbai Indians (MI) in IPL 2013
Neeta Ambani owned Mumbai Indians (MI) announced Ricky Pointing as the Caption who will lead in IPL 6 which starts from April 3. Ricky Pointing will take over as captain, replacing Harbhajan Singh. Ricky Pointing retired from International in 2012 was bought for $400,000 during the player auction. Mumbai Indians announced the appointed of Ricky Ponting has captain through press media. Mumbai Indians' new mentor Anil Kumble and coach John Wright decided to go ahead with Ponting, amid speculation of Sachin Tendulkar being re-appointed as captain.

Virat Kohli gets International Cricketer of the Year award
Virat Kohli, the dashing Indian batsman, bagged the International Cricketer of the Year award. Virat Kohli was chosen amoung the likes of Australian captain Michael Clarke, former Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara and South African Hashim Amla to clinch the honour. Sachin Tendulkar Retires From ODIs
Sachin Tendulkar has retired from ODI cricket. Tendulkar finishes an illustrious career in the 50-over format, having played 463 ODIs, scored 18,426 runs and made 49 centuries, each of them a world record. His last ODI was against Pakistan in Dhaka during the Asia Cup, where he made a half-century in India's victory.

Hockey Legend Leslie Claudius Passes Away
Leslie Walter Claudius was an Indian field hockey player from Bilaspur. India's triple Olympic gold medallist and one of the legends of the game of hockey, Leslie Claudius passed away in Kolkat on Thursday (December 20) after a prolonged illness. Claudius was suffering from cirrhosis of the liver and frequently needed hospitalization in the past couple of years. He was 85-years-old and is survived by wife and three sons. One of his sons Brandon lives with him in Kolkata and the other two sons live in Australia.
