Jahaj Kothi In Hissar, Haryana The Jahaj Kothi was built by George Thomas, who ruled over Hisar in the late 17th century who lived here. George Thomas was an invader from Ireland. The monument was located in a deserted place and appeared like a ship in the ocean. That’s how it got the name Jahaj Kothi. The house was built by the Mughals and thus it has the touch of Mughal architecture to it.

Gujari Mahal In Hissar, Haryana Mughal Emperor Firoz Shah Tughlaq’s wife Gujari Rani belonged to the Gujjar Community. It is said that the king was once on a hunting trip when he met the Gujjar girl. Impressed with her beauty, he fell in love with her and wanted to marry her. The girl was willing to marry him but was unwilling to go to Delhi with him as she felt that she may not be treated with as much honor and respect as the other queens. Hence she wished to stay back in Hansi. Thereafter, the Gujari Mahal was built by the king for this queen.

Feroz Shah’s Palace In Hissar, Haryana Hisar was established by Feroz Shah Tughlaq who built a fort here. The fort was also known as Hissar-e-Firoza. The huge fort had many buildings built in it with a beautiful garden. The aristocrats and the elite had their houses constructed in the fort. The buildings were built with lime and burnt bricks. A pillar was found in the fort that belonged to King Ashoka. A large and deep tank was constructed inside the fort to provide water to the ditch that was dug around the fort to prevent invaders.

The evidences found at Bhirdana include many structures made of mud bricks, peculiar of the Harappan era; a well, a fortification wall, pottery and other antiquities.

Shyamesar Historical Tank In Bhiwani, Haryana Shyamesar Tank is surrounded with a number of temples and ghats. The tank was constructed in 1687 by Lala Sita Ram, who is believed to be the treasurer of Muhammad Shah, Emperor of Delhi. However, other legend states that he was the treasurer of Shah Jahan, the Mughal Emperor of India. At present, the government has arranged the provision of supplying canal water to the tank.

Tomb of Raja Khetri In Bhiwani, Haryana Tomb of Raja Khetri was constructed by the Maharaja of Khetri of 1894. Tourists visiting the place can find a stone with inscriptions both in Hindi and English at the site.

Loharu Fort In Bhiwani, Haryana Loharu is a city and a municipal committee in Bhiwani district in the Indian state of Haryana. It is the administrative headquarters of one of the 4 administrative sub-divisions of the district which comprises 119 villages.It is also a railway junction station. It was the seat of the eponymous princely state during the British Raj, established in 1803; and an important reminiscence of that is the Loharu Fort, now an important tourist destination of the district.
