Daimler India has made a significant leadership change with the appointment of Sreeram Venkateswaran as the President and Chief Business Officer, Domestic Sales & Customer Service, effective from August 29, 2023.

In his new capacity, Venkateswaran will take the helm of BharatBenz operations in India, where he will play a pivotal role in propelling domestic business growth. His responsibilities will extend to nurturing strategic alliances, expanding the BharatBenz sales and service network, bolstering the reputation of the BharatBenz brand, and diversifying the appeal of the BharatBenz product lineup to cater to the discerning Indian customers.

Venkateswaran comes to Daimler India with a wealth of industry expertise, having previously held key positions at renowned organizations such as Mahindra Logistics, Hero Cycles Ltd., Bajaj Auto Ltd., Tata Motors Ltd, and Eicher Motors. Notably, he was an instrumental member of the team responsible for the creation and establishment of the ‘BharatBenz’ brand. His tenure at DICV, spanning over five years, was marked by significant contributions, including defining product portfolios, setting up a robust sales and service network, and fostering a customer-centric ethos within BharatBenz dealerships.
