Fiat has recently introduced the Fiat Topolino EV on a global scale, and now the company has divulged the pricing details for this electric vehicle. The starting price for the Topolino EV is €7,544, which roughly translates to about Rs 6.7 lakh according to current exchange rates. Notably, bookings for this compact EV have already commenced, and Fiat reports a substantial number of bookings, resulting in estimated delivery times of around 4.5 months.
The Topolino is built upon the foundation of the Citroen Ami and marks the brand’s second foray into the electric vehicle market, following the 500e. The name “Topolino” pays homage to the iconic city car that Fiat produced from 1936 to 1955. This modern Topolino EV boasts compact dimensions, measuring just 2.53 meters in length. Buyers can choose between a model with a retractable canvas roof or one with a closed glass roof. Its small wheels contribute to a charming retro design.
Under the hood, the Topolino EV houses a 5.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack paired with an electric motor producing 8 PS of power. Fiat claims an impressive range of up to 75 kilometers on a single full charge. With a top speed of 45 kilometers per hour, it falls within the quadricycle segment. Remarkably, this EV can be driven by individuals as young as 14 years old and does not require a driver’s license.
Fiat offers flexibility with door options, allowing customers to choose between models with or without doors. Additionally, buyers can personalize their Topolino EV with accessories such as chrome-effect mirrors, USB fans, Bluetooth speakers, and seat covers.
In terms of pricing, as previously mentioned, the base price starts at €7,544, and Fiat also provides the option of a €2,582 down payment (approximately Rs 2.3 lakh) with 48 monthly installments of €39 (around Rs 3,500). Deliveries for this electric vehicle are expected to commence in January 2024.
