Pat Cummins will lead the Australian cricket team in the ODI World Cup. Cricket Australia has announced their preliminary squad for the tournament, making them the first team to do so. The 18-member team will also face South Africa and India before the World Cup begins.

Notably, Marnus Labuschagne is absent from the squad. Labuschagne has played 30 out of Australia’s 38 matches since his debut in January 2020, with an average of 31.37. It’s important to mention that only 15 members from the squad will participate in the World Cup.
