Media Rights Secured by Viacom 18
Viacom 18 has successfully secured the TV and digital rights for the Indian cricket team’s home matches for the next five years. The media rights deal, which was finalized at a total cost of ₹5963 crore, allows Viacom18 to broadcast and stream all BCCI India matches.
Details of the Media Rights Deal
Under the agreement, Viacom18 will be paying ₹3101 crore for the digital rights, which amounts to ₹35.23 per match. Additionally, the company will also pay ₹2862 crore or ₹32.52 crore per match for the TV rights.
