In the defamation case filed by Nora Fatehi against Jacqueline Fernandez, Nora Fatehi stated at the Patiala House Court in Delhi that she was unfairly implicated in the money laundering case involving Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Jacqueline Fernandez is also a defendant in the case, while Nora Fatehi and Chahatt Khanna are witnesses.
In response, Jacqueline’s lawyer stated that they have not received any official communication from the court and therefore cannot confirm any developments. It is important to note that Jacqueline has never made any statement against anyone on any platform. She has maintained a dignified silence about the case since it is still pending before the court. However, this does not mean that she can be dragged into unwarranted legal proceedings without any fault of hers. Legal arguments and notes filed before the court should not be discussed publicly as it is an act of contempt.
The sanctity of judicial proceedings must be respected. If Jacqueline is forced into an unnecessary or false lawsuit, she will approach the Delhi High Court to protect her fundamental rights. Legal action for contempt of court can be taken if court records are leaked and misused to initiate proceedings against individuals who are not even party to the case. Jacqueline reserves the right to sue for malicious prosecution in criminal courts against those responsible for such illegal and malicious acts.”
