In a historic win, Naatu Naatu from the movie RRR won the Academy Award for Best Original Song at the Oscars 2023. M M Keeravaani, the composer of Naatu Naatu, expressed his joy and excitement over the win in an interview with Subhash K Jha. He said, “I always had confidence that we would win, but hearing the actual announcement is an indescribable feeling. I am thrilled beyond words.”

“I want to say, this Oscar belongs to all of us in the RRR team — Rajamouli, Ram Charan, NTR Jr, lyricist Chandrabose, and singers Rahul Sipligunj, Kaala Bhairava.
“Most importantly, we’ve made our country proud. No words to express my gratitude.”
