Prime Minister Narendra Modi has introduced a WhatsApp Channel to keep users updated with his latest information, including text, photos, videos, and even polls. This new feature from Meta, launched recently, empowers administrators to share a variety of content with their followers.

What is WhatsApp Channel?

WhatsApp Channel is a one-way communication tool that allows administrators to share diverse types of content, ranging from text messages to multimedia presentations and interactive polls with their followers.

Users can now easily stay informed and engaged with their chosen individuals and organizations, all within the WhatsApp app. These channels are accessible through a dedicated tab called “Updates,” separate from your regular chat conversations with family, friends, and communities.

How to Join Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s WhatsApp Channel

Before you can access this exciting feature, make sure to update your WhatsApp to the latest version:

  1. Launch WhatsApp and go to the “Updates” tab.
  2. At the bottom of your screen, you’ll see the “Find Channels” option. Just tap on it.
  3. A list of available channels will appear, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s channel. To join, simply tap the plus icon next to his channel’s name. Alternatively, you can use the search icon in the upper-right corner of your screen to manually search for the channel.

Users have the option to express their reactions to posts using emojis, and they can view the total count of reactions on a channel post. It’s important to note that how you react will not be visible to other followers.

WhatsApp Channels provide administrators with the flexibility to update and modify their content for up to 30 days, after which older updates are automatically removed from the platform’s servers.

Additionally, when you forward an update to chats or groups, it automatically includes a link back to the original channel, making it easy for others to explore the channel’s content.

WhatsApp has also welcomed celebrities, sports teams, thought leaders, and organizations, many of whom have already launched their WhatsApp channels.
